Our Philosophy
Glacier Peak Maine Coons was born from a lifelong passion for animals and a deep admiration for the Maine Coon breed. After interning with Mountain Maine Coons, I developed a love for this breed. With a background in animal science from WSU specializing in genetics and reproduction, along with years in veterinary care, we understand the importance of health and responsible breeding practices. Every Glacier Peak Maine Coon kitten is carefully nurtured to meet breed standards, focusing on health, temperament, and a beautiful, classic European Maine Coon look. We’re thrilled to share these wonderful cats with families who appreciate the charm and beauty of the breed as much as we do.
Our Family
Nestled in the stunning Bitterroot Valley, we enjoy the fresh mountain air and open space, perfect for our entire family—including our three loyal dogs, Hildie, Bagel and Baron, and our cherished Maine Coon cats. These affectionate, captivating cats are the heart of Glacier Peak Maine Coons, and we’re thrilled to share our home with them. Our breeding cats are carefully selected European lines, each with a lineage of champions, chosen for their beauty, temperament, and robust health.
Upbringing
We fell in love with Maine Coons for their loving personalities and impressive presence. Glacier Peak is a small, dedicated cattery where each kitten is raised in our home, receiving abundant attention and socialization. This nurturing environment ensures our kittens are well-adjusted, friendly, and ready to thrive in homes with other pets, including dogs and cats. Our priority is creating a joyful, well-rounded upbringing that sets our Maine Coons up for a lifetime of companionship.
Healthy European Bloodlines
Our Maine Coons come from premier European bloodlines, selected for traits like strong muzzles, lush manes, and full tails. With their grand size and charming personalities, our cats embody the best of the breed. Health is paramount; all our parent cats undergo genetic testing for HCM, PK Def, PKD, and SMA, with annual heart scans. We’re also a TICA-registered cattery, committed to the highest standards in Maine Coon kitten breeding and care.
